Vote on your fav "Dia Bot" design

Happy Birthday Dia!!!

You know, I've never stopped to think about it, but its kind of crazy that I'm turning my sister into a robot. (Hope she's o.k. with it... We'll see. I'm joking, I'm joking. I asked her before hand of course!)

I came up with 2 designs and I couldn't decide. So, since I'm making this for you guys, and I know you all have excellent taste, I need your input. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments below.

This design will be only in shades of black, white, and grey. It will be the smoother, more elegant robot.  More feminine.   It was Dia's idea to add the beauty mark. She also thought her hair looked like a helmet, so should the hair be flipped in instead?


This design is more "casual", more of a "hanging out" deal. The biggest difference is the curly hair. The tee will be sea foam green and beige stripes.

  2. aww i love them both, but I think I like the first design the best, except I like the curly hair better. I like the elegant coloring and dress of the first design :)

  4. Hmm, I like certain parts between both of them.

    Question though, regarding the hair. Is it possible for you to give the hair a helmet/side bang look at the top, with curls coming down from that?     If not, I'd say hair #1 looks a bit more accurate, and I think it'd be pretty cute curled in!
    I love the beauty mark! and regarding the outfit, I think the skirt look on #1 is adorable. great work Meg :)

  6. DIA BOT #1 is Fantastic :D Very creative. I say that you should keep the hair the way it is , flipped out, and the black and white theme, but make JUST the heart red. It would be a great touch to the piece! Love it!

  8. I like Dia Bot #2 with the curly hair, however, Dia Bot #1s dress is more Dia-like, and so are the colors........perhaps, you could use Dia Bot 1 but add curly hair and a fedora?

  11. I really like the outfit on #2. I think you should switch the head of #1 with the straight hair onto the body of #2. The straight haired, casual look is more "Dia".

  13. Kalli, you're right about the beauty mark. See this is why I ask you guys first! ha ha. lari alejandro, I love the idea of a red heart with the rest of the piece black and white.

    Looks like most of you guys like the dress with the curly hair. I like that combo. Kalli, I also like the side sweet bangs. Nice touch!

  14. I love #1, and with hair flip out - i can see how it would look too much like a helmet instead of hair if it was flipped in. but I love the classy design for it! though to be honest, either one you make will look amazing!

  18. I love them both! #1 is really good as it is, but with the red heart it would be pretty epic. The hair flipped in or out or with side bangs would look great! I like #2, but I'm not a fan of the curly hair. I love the outfit though!

  19. I like the first one better, and like Kalli suggested, to make the hair less helmet-esque, just do a side bang with more curly/wavy locks coming down :) I think that'll look great!

  24. Well the one occasion that I had the pleasure of meeting your sister, she was wearing a dress, and she had straight hair, so for what it's worth, I think Dia Bot #1 is perfect, and I would love to own one(:

  25. I'm gonna side with the straight hair. Both outfits are very Dia-esque and adorable, but I prefer straight-haired Dia. I think flipped in would be cute, but it looks cute out. Meh.

  26. Now that's tricky!!! I agree with a lot of the others, that #1 is more like Dia. But I like the shirt for #2. This is a really hard decision!!! i think that i'll have to say #1. but the hair should have a little more "life"

    maybe just turn it out a little bit, or even kinda inwards.

    otherwise, i think they both look excellent! good job! I can't wait to see it!

  29. I think you're messing with our minds -__- How can the casual design have fancy hair?! hahah

    I like design one's hair. When I think of Dia, I am often reminded of that hair. If you add the side bangs, you're good to go! Also, I'd prefer the outfit in design two. I don't tend to think of Dia and dresses often. Your sis wearing a tee or comfy sweater is more like it!

  30. Both designs are very cute and very Dia! But if I had to choose, I think I am more partial to #2's body with #1's hair, flipped out. I also like Kalli's hair suggestion! All good stuff!

    But I agree with Kenny on the dress thing. I think of Dia and I think more laid-back casual. But I have nothing against cute dresses.

    Whatever you choose, I shall buy and love. Because I always do.

  36. Love one! and the red heart idea. What if you treated the straight hair like the curly hair. Let it be a few loose pieces so it doesn't end up with the helmet look when its curled under? The curly hair is amazing and should def. Be utilized on something! Both designs are beautiful!

  38. I like the design of DIA BOT #1

    yet I would want it with the curly hair of #2 or different hair kind of more side swept bangs/straight across bangs with slight waves/curls.

    Does that make any sense?

  47. A mic with a heart on it, sings she puts her heart into her songs. You know nothing too symbolic. Also dig the 1 + 2 combo.
